As Akpa Kimya We launched a scholarship program called Akpa Scholarships to support young talents and help future leaders. With this program, we offer financial support and opportunities to successful and high-potential students to continue their education.
Akpa Scholarships is a program organized to provide a certain number of scholarships every year. Our scholarships are aimed at undergraduate and graduate students and are open to successful students in different disciplines. Our scholarships are subject to a rigorous selection process to evaluate students' academic achievements, leadership potential and social responsibility awareness.

Rules for the Application of Scholarships
Merit Scholarship Conditions
Students studying at high school, associate degree, undergraduate, graduate (master's/doctorate with thesis) level in educational institutions of the Republic of Turkey who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or above at the end of the semester in which they are studying, who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or semester grade point average (GPA) of 94 or above in universities of the Republic of Turkey only in schools that apply the 100-grade system, and who meet the conditions for scholarship application, are eligible to receive a student achievement scholarship by evaluating their economic situation and achievement.
Conditions of the Support Scholarship
Students who are studying at primary, secondary, high school, associate, undergraduate, graduate (master's/doctorate with thesis) level in educational institutions of the Republic of Turkey and whose grade point average (GPA) is 3.50 or whose semester grade point average (GPA) is 88 or above only in schools that apply the 100 grade point system and who meet the conditions for scholarship application, are eligible to receive support scholarships.
Conditions for Disabled and Gifted Scholarship
Disabled and gifted successful and needy students who are studying at primary, secondary, high school, associate, undergraduate, graduate (master's/doctorate with thesis) level in educational institutions of the Republic of Turkey are entitled to receive only one (1) of the types of disabled or gifted scholarships, provided that they present the special institution certificate.

In order for students applying for the Merit and Support Scholarship to be eligible for the scholarship, they must be unemployed and/or not receiving a salary and/or wage and/or must not have received any scholarship, cash aid or any other kind of allowance under any other name from any institution and organization operating in the Republic of Turkey and/or an international organization,

The family income of the student applying for the Merit, Support, Disabled and Gifted Scholarship is determined and evaluated within the framework of the following criteria, taking into account the minimum wage in January, the beginning of the fiscal year of the year of the scholarship application:
A. If the family income is equal to or less than 2 times the monthly gross minimum wage, only one (1) child of the family studying in educational institutions of the Republic of Turkey is eligible to receive only one of the Merit, Support, Disability and Gifted Scholarships.
B. In accordance with the rules of this Regulation, in order to apply for any of the Merit, Support, Disabled and Gifted Scholarships, the economic situation of the family shall be evaluated and the students who are entitled to receive scholarships and/or continue to receive scholarships shall be subject to evaluation in determining the family income criteria in accordance with the rules of subparagraphs (A) and (B) above.
Students who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or above at the end of the semester they are studying in the Republic of Turkey, those who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or semester grade point average (GPA) of 94 or above in the universities of the Republic of Turkey that only apply the 100-grade system, or those who are in the highest grade bracket (excellent, distinction, A) in the equivalent grading system are evaluated for economic and achievement status and are required to meet the scholarship application conditions.
Students studying in graduate programs (master's degree with thesis/doctorate) and their families are evaluated for their economic and achievement status and are required to meet the scholarship application conditions.
C. Married students cannot apply for any of the Merit, Support, Disabled and Gifted Scholarships.
D. The special circumstances of the children of divorced or legally separated parents are evaluated by taking into consideration the income certificates to be obtained from the institutions where their parents work.
AKPA Scholarships
Amount, Number and Allocation of Scholarships, Payment of Scholarships and Duration of Scholarships
Payment of Scholarships
Scholarships are paid in the first week of each month. At the end of the semester and year, scholarship payments are temporarily suspended in order to evaluate the success of the students. The scholarships of successful students are paid to cover the period during the academic year.
Payments are deposited into a bank account opened in the name of the scholarship recipient or, if the student is a minor, in the name of his/her parents, in accordance with the payment schedule determined by AKPA Kimya, for 9 months between September and May of the academic year in which the scholarship is received.
Scholarship Duration
The duration of a student's scholarship cannot exceed the normal duration for the program in which he/she is enrolled. The scholarships of those who are entitled to a scholarship start at the beginning of the academic year and continue if they are successful in the normal period stipulated for the program they are enrolled in.
Number and Allocation of Scholarships
The number of students who receive or are candidates for scholarships and their allocations are included in AKPA Chemistry's Budget Program for each fiscal year.
Scholarship Amount
The scholarship amount is determined once a year, based on the budget situation in December.

Conditions for Disabled and Gifted Scholarship:
Disabled and gifted students in need who are studying at primary, secondary, high school, associate's degree, undergraduate, graduate (master's degree with thesis / doctorate) level in educational institutions of the Republic of Turkey are eligible to receive only one (1) of the disabled or gifted scholarship types, provided that they present a special institution certificate.
Who is not eligible for scholarship support?
- Those who did not apply,
- Those who do not meet the application requirements,
- Those deemed ineligible by the Scholarship Evaluation Committee,
- Those enrolled in the Open Education Faculty or other non-formal education programs,
- Those who have pedagogical formation education in any higher education institution,
- Those studying in the preparatory class or school of any higher education institution,
- Distance learners,
- Those who have received a disciplinary penalty in the educational institution where they are studying,
- Those who are public servants or public employees and receive higher education in ten undergraduate or bachelor's degree programs by taking unpaid leave, but those who are public servants or public employees and receive unpaid leave with the Decree of the Council of Ministers, those who have a master's degree with thesis and those who have a doctorate can receive support scholarship if they meet the relevant conditions,
- Those who have completed 25 (twenty-five) years of age for ten undergraduate and undergraduate students, 30 (thirty) years of age for master's students, and 35 (thirty-five) years of age for doctoral students as of the date of enrollment in the program,
- Those enrolled in departments declared surplus by the decision of the Council of Ministers,
- Those who work in the public or private sector and receive salaries and/or wages or are self-employed,
- Those who receive scholarship, cash aid or any other kind of allowance under any other name from any institution and organization operating in the Republic of Turkey or the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and/or an international organization (The scholar can benefit from the repayable loan of the Credit and Dormitories Institution, but not from the scholarship),
- Scholarship recipient students or their families; those who disrupt public order, discriminate politically, ethnically, ethnically, language, religion, race, sect, gender discrimination, violate general morality and decency, exhibit attitudes / behaviors that encourage harmful and bad habits, substance abuse, harmful and bad habits in their work and transactions cannot apply for a scholarship, and even if they are entitled to receive a scholarship, if the above situations are detected, their scholarship will be cut off and they will not be able to benefit from scholarships and similar supports in the following period in any way,
- When deemed necessary, the Scholarship Evaluation Committee may examine the notification and other information provided by the scholarship recipient and request information and documents from the relevant educational institution. If it is determined that the information provided is untrue, inaccurate or misleading, the scholarship will be terminated. In this case, the student is obliged to repay AKPA Kimya the amount of the scholarship paid until the date of termination of the scholarship, together with legal interest.

What are the evaluation criteria for Family Income and other circumstances in scholarship applications?
The family income of the student applying for the Merit, Support, Disabled and Gifted Scholarship is determined by the Scholarship Evaluation Committee by taking into account the minimum wage in January, which is the beginning of the fiscal year of the year of the scholarship application, within the framework of the following criteria:
A. If the family income is equal to or less than 2 times the monthly gross minimum wage, only one (1) child of the family studying in educational institutions in the Republic of Turkey is entitled to receive only one of the Merit, Support, Disability and Gifted Scholarships.
B. - Students studying in the Republic of Turkey who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or semester grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 or above at the end of the semester in which they are studying, those who have a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or semester grade point average (GPA) of 94 or above at universities in the Republic of Turkey that only apply the 100-grade system, or those who are in the highest grade bracket (excellent, distinction, A) in the equivalent grading system are required to meet the scholarship application conditions by evaluating their economic and achievement status.

C. Applications of married students for any of the Merit, Support, Disabled and Gifted Scholarships will not be evaluated.
