It is used as an initiator for the (co)polymerization of styrene, vinyl acetate, acrylates, and methacrylates at temperatures between 100 and 140 °C. For the high-pressure polymerization of ethylene, it can be used in combination with other peroxides of different activity levels at temperatures between 200 and 250 °C.
